After a year of restructuring, the new working model with our external consultants from Dr. Lippert was finally implemented in 2026.

This has resulted in a stricter audit structure and more controlled monitoring of corrective and preventive measures.

The progress has been significant: during this first quarter, 79 audits were carried out across Italy and Spain.

This already represents almost 50% of the audits conducted in 2025. The figures currently speak for themselves, but we believe that these changes are good news for the pursuit of excellence within our system and for the spirit of continuous improvement that distinguishes Alifresca.

This new working model allows us to focus on supporting suppliers in improving their working and control systems, while also selecting our best business partners. Alifresca should only work with the best partners.

On the other hand, we were recently able to analyse the critical control points that occur most frequently during these audits and that require our attention. Some of the most important are:

  • Increasing the proportion of farmers certified according to SPRING, even though the goods supplied are already certified in more than 98% of cases. It should be taken into account that some of our suppliers work with very large groups of farmers, for whom certification involves very high costs. For this reason, the process must be implemented gradually.

  • Cold chain: Monitoring temperatures at all critical points in the process can extend product freshness. The challenge is to reconcile these processes with the logistical optimisation of loads, which remains the main focus.
